The latest RadioTek was held on 18 August, and saw a big turnout of students to make the usual selection of radio kits. We hosted six first timers, including two from the last HamCram event who are teachers in real life; so it ended up being “train the trainers”!
In total the students numbered fourteen, which kept us on the go from 9.30 to 4PM, with projects ranging from the club AM radio to a variety of Jaycar kits, but every project was finished and tested working before they left.
We look forward to seeing them back for the next RadioTek on 8th December. Many thanks to the helpers Rory 3HB, Graeme 3GSL, Rod 3NW, Bruce 3TDF and Kelvin 3KB with additional help from the invaluable fathers in support.
We are now recruiting new “first timers” for next RadioTek. If you want to help us spread the word, the booking contact details are on the front page of our website.
The AM radio powered by an oranges was a big hit with the first timers.
