From the 1960s the club was located at 27 Galbraith Avenue, Avonside. After the major earthquakes of 2010 and 2011 the site near the Avon River, along with most of the surrounding suburb, was deemed to be so severely damaged that no repair work would be carried out. The club became itinerant in April 2013 as we had to vacate the old clubrooms prior to demolition. In November 2013 a disused hall in the suburb of Fendalton became available and we began holding meetings and settling in at the new location. The club is now thriving in the new location. We are looking forward to celebrating the centenary of the founding of the Radio Society of Christchurch in February 2021.
