Saturday, 12th December 2020 and time for a diversion from the worries of the world at the branch 05 clubrooms. After two evenings, and one morning of load-in of some of Christchurch’s finest Junque, the doors finally opened at 9am, with a flood of ‘customers’.
Overall, around a hundred buyers turned up during the morning who were greeted by nine sellers, and a continuing mountain of stuff, which wrapped around the trestle tables in the room.
As well as sellers from our own membership, we also saw an overflowing table of valves and such from the Vintage Radio Society, a spread of computers and similar from Ecotech Services (Sydenham), and an ever increasing pile of goodies from Molten Media (Wigram).
Among the hubub-of-haggling and the flurry of money changing hands, lots of social-catch-up took place.
