At 9am on 23rd June 2018 saw the doors open to the second combined groups Junque *previously loved” sale at the premises of the club rooms in Fendalton, Christchurch. Since first occupying the spacious club rooms around four years ago, the club has encouraged use of the space by similarly minded groups; to date this includes the Christchurch Robotics Group, the Christchurch Vintage Radio Society, the Canterbury Amateur Radio Development Society (CARDS), and the AREC groups to name but a few.
On the 23rd, all of these groups (and individuals from these groups) struggled, and sweated as they loaded up the main hall with tons (literally) of radio gear as well as interesting, weird, and downright peculiar equipment.
The resulting feeding frenzy was spectacular to say the least, and many vehicles left the car park loaded down with bottomed-out suspensions, and large smiles.
This event has been the result of much hard work from the fine and keen volunteers at the club. Thank you one, thank you all, and hopefully we shall repeat this festival in a couple more years.
